The Oldest Trick In The Book

The oldest trick in the book is for the devil to doubt God’s love for us and our love for God. There can be times in our life, because of a personal struggle, we begin to feel that God can’t use us anymore. We decide that because of our failure, we will never reach our spiritual potential, and that there should always be a gap or a chasm between us and Christ.
The best way to confront this old trick; this old lie of the devil, is to allow Jesus Himself to draw something out of you that you still have, but is buried under your guilt. God will begin to ask a question that is first priority- Do you love me? Love for God is not something that we muster up in ourselves. It is something that Jesus draws out of us because he has placed it in us though The Holy Spirit. We love Him with a supernatural love; a love that comes from God and goes to God. If you allow God to draw certain realities that He’s invested in you, your victory will begin to overshadow your struggles and you will be renewed and restore.
