And He Prayed Again

We have become an instant society. We want to press a button and we want a picture to pop up. When we pray we want God to answer on our timetable, but God doesn’t work like that. God answers in His time and in His way. In Luke Chapter 18, Jesus gave us a parable that men ought to always pray and not lose heart, to get the principle across that we may not see the answer to our prayer immediately, the way we want to see it.Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. The question is: when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth? Will He have a people with the kind of faith that believes they have the answer though they don’t see it, but choose to persist in prayer?
