Calvary's Tree

By Patrick Pierre

December 5, 2010

December 5, 2010 – The Bible tells us that sin and the devil seek to devour our lives. You may not have any idea what sin is. Simply put, sin is choosing to live for ourselves rather than living for God. We sin when we ignore God, break His laws and do things our own way. Sin destroys our relationship with family, friends and God. Sin brings shame and pain into our lives and the lives of those around us. What is the remedy for sin and the devil? The remedy for sin was and is and always has been a tree called Calvary’s Tree, which is also known as the Cross of Jesus Christ. God so loved you that he was willing to give His only Son to die on a cross and take the penalty for our sin so we can be forgiven and empowered to live a new life. Today you can choose to do things God’s way.
