Escaping Selfishness

January 20, 2009 – Whenever a person enters into a self gratifying life they will end up in a deep, dark pit that they cannot escape. The moment we neglect God to gratify self we will succumb to temptation. In a society that is dominated by covetousness, God is calling us to draw near to Him and trust in His Word. Only the hand of God can draw us out of the abyss of the “self life”. Jesus Christ is our way of escape. We can be taken from a pit of selfishness to a selfless life that lives for the betterment of others.
