Experiencing a "Selah" Moment

By Teresa Conlon

December 12, 2010

December 12, 2010 – This message is for those who are experiencing a season where you would say, “many are rising up against me and there are voices taunting me with the lie that there is no help for me in God.” Maybe you are experiencing the pain and confusion that comes from family situations around the holidays. You need a “selah” experience. Selah means: a musical transition from one note to another; a transition from one place to another. Even though you can acknowledge there are circumstances around you that want to take your joy and steal your song you can transition from the place where you are thinking, “ there is no help for me in God”, to thoughts of, “thou, O Lord are the glory and the lifter of my head.” God will put a song in your soul to take you from the depths of despair to the heights of His love and faithfulness.
