There are times in our life when the Cross of Christ seems to loom larger in our life and we recognize that we are in deep darkness passing through the valley of the shadow of death. It is in this valley we must determine above all to trust God as our shepherd and refuse to be utterly given over to fear. When we are certain that as our shepherd the Lord is with us we can replace this fear with the truth of that is promised us in palm 23, even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death the Lord God Almighty is with us.
