When there are elements in our hearts that disagree with God, He will allow a season of sifting. It is in this trial of sifting that all our denials and strivings will come to the surface so that we can recignize our need to be changed. It is important that we do not fight this battle in our own strength but that we acknowledge the finished work of the cross. Jesus Christ will remind us one more time that He has desroyed the works of the flesh and He has given us complete dominion over our sin.
