Limping Into the Promise

July 24, 2011 – Do you find yourself wrestling with God to try to push yourself into His promises? Sometimes we try to manipulate God to bring about the promises in a way that we think we need them or in a way that we are able to understand them. God will bring us to a place of total surrender and gently remind us that He is smarter than us and He knows what’s best for us. God will come to us and point out our weakness but at the same time offer us His grace so that He can be God to us. The limp reminds us that there is an element in us that wants to fight against God. Limping into the promises is better than striving or grasping. God is asking you to trust Him completely because He trusts you, limp and all.
