September 21, 2006 – The Cost of Communion – Standing Together Fast: Day 3 – William CarrolThe ordinance of communion represents the wonderful family we have in Christ. The unity that we are able to experience was purchased for us with the precious Blood of Jesus. Jesus endured the cross in a solitary separation from the perfect relationship He had with His Father. He died on a lonely cross betrayed , mocked, scorned and having His body broken asunder and marred so that He can bring togerther the Body of Christ. This is why if we fail to discern the Lord’s Body we are guilty of bringing damnation to ourselves.
