The Gift That Keeps on Giving

June 26, 2011 – Jesus Christ is the gift that keeps on giving. When Jesus was dying on the Cross he could have said it is enough to die for the whole world but instead He reached out to the thief on the cross who was mocking and scorning Him. There was a cry in Jesus’ heart to keep on giving and He calls us to have the same mindset. We have to ask ourselves the question: If God has made us a gift to this society are we a gift that keeps on giving? What about those in your family or on your job who mock and scorn you because of Jesus? What about those who are indifferent to your pain and struggles? God is calling us to reach out in such a way that it will cost us. If Christ is in us He will give us what we need to be a blessing in the most difficult situations. We can be a gift that keeps giving because when we run out of strength to give Jesus will supernaturally give us what we need.
