The Glory of Gethsemane

By William Carrol

July 19, 2009

July 19, 2009 – Gethsemane is a place of depression, despondency and fear. The journey is lonely and even those we love the most cannot come with us. In Gethsemane we come before the Lord in total honesty so He can break the “self life” and we learn to pray, “not my will but thine”. When we are willing to keep going back to God with an open heart, and we are fully surrendered to His will, God will send a Word to strengthen us. God smiles upon the person who gets in the secret place with Him so He can comfort us and drive away all our fears. When we leave Gethsemane we leave in the full power of God.
