There is a unique way a mother comforts her children and God links Himself with the pattern of a mother’s comfort. As we dig deeper into the meaning of the word “comfort” we learn that when God comforts us as a mother comforts her children, the comfort we receive has the power to change a heart, change a mind, change our conduct and transform us. Someone once said the heart of a mother is a deep abyss in whom you will always find forgiveness. God our Father does not just sympathize, He does not leave us the way He finds us, He transforms us by the power of His comfort and forgiveness.
