The serpent bit God’s creation and its venom poisoned our vitals, since then man’s greatest poison is in thinking we have the ability to know right from wrong apart from the Word of God. We have all been infected by sin – we have been bitten and we need an antidote. Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. When Jesus sacrificed His life on the Cross He broke the power of sin. The blood of the Lamb is the antidote for sin and when Jesus said “it is finished” He canceled the law of sin and broke the captivity of Satan over our lives.
