We Are God's Masterpiece

By Patrick Pierre

In Ephesians 2:10, Paul writes to the brother and sisters church in Ephesus, telling them, “we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” We are God’s handiwork! God is making something out of us. Out of disorder (spiritual death), like in Genesis, God brings order (spiritual life) when we take God’s words and apply them to our lives. Your life might be messed up – you need to know there is Hope and His name is Jesus. God takes your old life and gives you a new life – free – a gift of God. God transforms and changes our lives and He gives us good works to do – not only practical things on our job or helping a neighbour but He also changes our character – He causes us to bear fruit so that Christ is preached through our patience, kindness. We also have to keep ourselves united in the Holy spirit – His blessing comes where there is unity. God give us all the resources we need in Christ. So, how should we respond? How should we be living? We have a responsibility to know everything that His will has appointed for us. What has He appointed for you to do? We have to give up our own programs/agendas. Is Christ being glorified in your present situation?
